PUEBLO BONITO, ROSÉ, CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO

Overheard: “We did the sunset cruise yesterday. Tomorrow we’re snorkeling. What have you guys done so far?”

At Pueblo Bonito Rosé, in Cabo, there’s a big pool that’s really a series of interconnected pools. It’s definitely an all-ages, family kind of vibe along Sunset Beach, the strip of beach that faces Los Arcos. Rose-tinted (pink) walls and statues throughout the property give it a Roman feel, though the pool area mostly just feels like a family-friendly, happy hang out. There’s even a basketball hoop in the pool furthest from the sand.

What’s cool about the pools here, like a lot of pools in Cabo, is that they really take advantage of the local tile for some bright mosaics. Not sure why it’s more fun to walk on top of a colorful, ceramic-tiled swimming pool bottom, but it just is!

There are also fun fountains (not for swimming) in the pool area, that add a touch of whimsy to the place. It’s a great vibe and a fun place. Have you been? Tell us your experience!
