ATTON, SAN ISIDRO, LIMA, PERU

Atton, San Isidro is an upscale, although not all that special, urban hotel located on the edge of the San Isidro Business and Financial district in Lima. If you’re spending a night or two before or after your 4-day trek along the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, I can pretty much guarantee you’re going to love soaking in the contemporary pool for a few hours.

If your trip is more luxurious and you had access to hot showers througout, you still probably won’t mind a calm, afternoon soak.

It’s on the tiled terrace, surrounded by buildings that give it a quiet oasis-in-the-middle-of-the-city vibe, sort of like the pool at the Omni San Diego. Only it’s really small–rectangular with a jaquizzi. A few wood-backed chaise lounges surround it, some nice trees and a bar area a few steps above.
