HILTON FORT LAUDERDALE AIRPORT, FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA

A great place to stay if you’re in town for the night before or after a cruise, the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Airport has a big outdoor pool. It’s heated year-round, which is great for active kids. It’s nowhere near as nice (or yachtsman-friendly) as the pool at the Marina Hilton. And it’s really not much—no special features or anything out of the ordinary, really. But at the very least, there’s plenty of pool to go around.

Lots of chaise lounges, a few blue canvas umbrellas and those trademark Florida palms, swaying overhead.

The hot tub is unusually small for such a big pool.

Here’s the 8-year old girl mini-review: “It was a little cold. And a little boring. But I got to go swimming when it was cold at home, so I guess it was fun.”

Compared to all the awesome Florida hotel pools to choose from this one is like plain, nonfat, sugar free vanilla fro-yo. But honestly, for a property with the word “airport” attached to it, it’s pretty nice. Click for more Florida pool reviews.
