THE RITZ CARLTON, MARINA DEL REY, CA

On a weekday afternoon, it’s extremely chill at the pool at the Ritz Carlton, Marina Del Rey.

Just a few groups lounging. A mom with a toddler eating nuggets and fries from inside the hot tub, older teens jumping in; and clearly people at the hotel for an awards event taking place later that night.

It’s just a basic pool and hot tub, with a lounge area close to the coast.  There’s a path just on the other side of the ground level pool.  You can see the occasional bike or skater fly by.  And just past that, the sea and the boats and all that marina stuff.

They’ve got a nice little service station at the entrance:

There’s poolside service.  And the palms keeping guard over the area are particularly stunning.
