THE POOL AT MARINA BAY SANDS, SINGAPORE

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore is often on Top Ten lists of noteworthy hotel pools. The 2,561-room hotel, built for a mere $5.7 billion has become something of a landmark, known most for its Sands SkyPark. The SkyPark is massive with nearly three-acres perched at the top of the hotel’s three, 55-story towers (see photo below for a visual). The whole thing is perched more than 650 feet up, with a 492-foot-long infinity pool cresting along the edge. They claim it is the world’s largest outdoor pool up that high.

Besides the pool, there are a bunch of attractions and activities up there as well, including an ArtScience Museum, convention center, upscale shopping, and celebrity chef-run restaurants from monsters of cooking like Wolfgang Puck, Mario Batali, Guy Savoy and Daniel Boulud. There’s even a casino (Sands, of course). It’s Las Vegas in the sky, Blade Runner style.

Please, if you’ve been, share your experience and/or photos. The view from the swim must be pretty incredible.
