The pool at The Oaks at Ojai isn’t any great shakes. It’s a bit of an old school kind of spa/resort—the kind where you take exercise classes, learn about what a healthy diet looks like, and even eat the food they prepare for you.
It’s mostly women—anywhere from 30 to 70—and is the kind of place where you might spend 2 weeks getting in shape or losing weight.
The pool in in the courtyard, and is covered with a nice canopy because it does get hot:
There are exercise classes throughout the day—some in the pool. And on most Tuesdays at 9:45am (Call the property before showing up), there’s a water aerobics class open to the community. So if you want to get in to this hotel pool without staying on property, you are welcome. Just don’t except drink service, tiny umbrellas or too much lounging about. Though I’m sure you could hang out on a chaise after the class is over. They vibe is pretty chill and I doubt anyone would mind.
And here’s a gratuitous shot of what the nearby hills look like.
